In-Home Iron Infusions
Tired of running on empty? Modwella brings clinical-grade iron IV therapy to your front door, no waiting rooms, no infusion-center scheduling, no fluorescent lights. Whether you’re recovering postpartum, managing heavy periods, training hard, or simply done with the stomach upset of oral iron pills, our licensed Registered Nurses arrive at your home, hotel, office, or Airbnb with everything needed for a safe, comfortable infusion.
Every appointment includes a free teleconsult with a licensed medical provider, an RN-administered infusion, and a personalized protocol built around your labs. We serve clients across eleven states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Why In-Home Iron Infusions?
Oral iron is rough on the gut. It has to survive your stomach acid, compete with food and calcium for absorption, and even then your body might only take in a few milligrams a day, often with side effects like nausea, cramping, and constipation. For someone with a real deficiency, that’s months of pills to maybe move the needle. IV iron bypasses the gut entirely and delivers a full therapeutic dose directly into your bloodstream in a single visit. Translation: you actually feel better, and you feel it within weeks instead of months.
Modwella’s mobile model takes it one step further. Instead of sitting in a hospital infusion chair for half a day, you relax on your own couch while a Registered Nurse runs your drip. Most iron infusion visits take 60–90 minutes, and you can work, watch TV, or rest right through it. If you’ve never tried IV therapy before, our broader mobile IV therapy menu is a great place to explore what else we offer.

Iron Plus

Iron Plus layers in added vitamins, minerals, and pre-medications designed to improve absorption, reduce the risk of infusion-related side effects, and support energy and immune recovery. In-Home Iron Infusion FAQ
Yes. Every Modwella iron infusion is administered by a licensed Registered Nurse, reviewed by a licensed medical provider, and requires recent lab work before treatment. Our nurses carry the same sterile supplies, medications, and emergency protocols used in clinical settings, and stay with you for the entire visit. Iron infusions are not for emergencies, if you’re experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a true medical crisis, call 911.
Plan on 60–90 minutes total: a few minutes for setup and your provider teleconsult, a slow test dose, the full infusion, and a brief wrap-up. Iron is intentionally infused slowly for comfort and safety.
Most clients notice more energy, easier breathing, and clearer thinking within 1–2 weeks. Hemoglobin typically rebuilds first, followed by ferritin (your iron storage) over 4–8 weeks. We’ll schedule a follow-up lab panel to confirm your levels have rebounded.
You’ll feel a brief pinch when the IV is placed, similar to a blood draw. After that, most clients feel nothing at all. Our nurses are highly trained in vein access and use the smallest gauge appropriate for your veins.
Yes. We require recent ferritin, CBC, and iron studies (typically within the last 6–12 months) plus medical provider approval before any iron infusion. If you don’t have current labs, we can draw them in-home through Modwella Labs.
Postpartum iron repletion is one of the most common reasons clients book with us. Pregnancy is evaluated case-by-case in coordination with your OB. Our provider will review your history and confirm appropriateness before treatment. Breastfeeding clients can typically receive iron infusions without issue.
It depends on how depleted your stores are. Some clients are fully repleted with a single Iron Hydrate or Iron Plus visit; others benefit from a short series spaced one to two weeks apart. Your provider will recommend a plan based on your labs.
Yes. Group bookings are one of our specialties. Groups of 2+ save 10%, groups of 5+ save 15%, and groups of 10+ save 20%. See full details on our Group & Save page.
Pricing varies by protocol (Iron Hydrate vs. Iron Plus) and add-ins, but you’ll always see the full cost on our menu no hidden fees, no surprise charges. First-time clients save 10%, and active-duty military and veterans save 15% with valid ID. Learn more on our First-Timer Discount page.
Mobile iron infusions are considered an elective wellness service and are not typically covered by insurance. We provide a superbill on request that you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards (when applicable).
Eat a light meal beforehand, drink water, and wear a top with sleeves that roll up easily. Avoid heavy alcohol the day before. Make sure your nurse has a clear path to a comfortable chair or couch with an outlet nearby. If you’ve had a prior infusion reaction or take regular medications, let your provider know during the teleconsult.
Yes, Modwella is a full mobile wellness provider. Explore IV Therapy, Labs, Aesthetic Injections, Weight Loss, Male Hormone Replacement, Female Hormone Replacement, NAD+, and Regenerative Medicine.
Side effects are uncommon and usually mild, temporary headache, muscle aches, a metallic taste during the infusion, or a flushing feeling. Bruising at the IV site is possible. Serious reactions are rare. Iron Plus includes pre-medications designed to reduce these effects, and your nurse remains with you throughout the entire visit.

"I felt better in hours—without leaving home."

"Amazing service. I was so nauseous I could barely walk. A wonderful nurse, Ciara, came to my home and gave me an IV along with anti-nausea medication. Amazing deal compared to going to the ER."
